The Open Jar

This Wednesday I had the absolute pleasure of being invited for a meal at The Open Jar.

This gorgeous restaurant and bar can be found right in the centre of Hartlepool Marina, setting the scene with a gorgeous boatyard surrounded by bustling bistros and bars.

Inside, The Open Jar is beautifully decorated, with modern lighting coupled with authentic wooden tables giving the room an original vibe. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and friendly, with seating spaced comfortably, whilst there still being a vibrant buzz.

The staff added to the friendly environment, managing to maintain the right balance of being attentive but not intrusive. Nothing we asked for was a problem and the waiters and waitresses were both professional and personable.

Now, moving on to arguably the most important aspect… the food! The Open Jar menu is fantastic, there’s so much to choose from meaning there’s something on there for everyone; from sandwiches and salads to Sunday dinner, from burgers to the renowned Teesside Parmo (you can take a closer look at the full menu here)!

After finally choosing from the extensive menu, our meals arrived and we were by no means disappointed! The food was cooked to absolute perfection, there was not an aspect to our meals that we could fault.

So, if you’re after a bite to eat, somewhere for a celebration, date night or catch up with the girls, then book your table here! Guaranteed great food, excellent service and friendly atmosphere.
