Lotus Lounge

The star of this weeks blog post can be found right in the centre of Yarm High Street. It is a culmination of luxury and authenticity, mixed with great food and even better cocktails. You guessed it, this weeks feature is all about Lotus Lounge. Upon first glance, you’ll find the entrance is illuminated by gleaming spot lights taking you to a glamorous red carpet leading you right to the door. Inside the decor is equally as elegant, the wooden floors and dark seating arrangements coupled with muted lights and stylish accessories creates an authentic atmosphere.

The Lotus Lounge is the perfect pit-stop for a bite to eat; be it breakfast, lunch or dinner there is something on their brand new menu to suit everyone. From a locally sourced Full English, to tasteful Lemon and Thyme Marinated Chicken, to even Vanilla Crème Brûlée. It’s no surprise that the menu exquisitely complements the classy and contemporary tone of the restaurant. It’s also worth keeping your eyes peeled because rumour has it, Lotus will be expanding their menus over the next few months!

Finally I of course have to mention what Lotus Lounge is arguably most esteemed for… their cocktails. No weekend in Yarm could possibly be complete without one or two cocktails in Lotus. Over the weekend the ground floor of the restaurant transforms into an uber-chic, uber-classy cocktail bar-come-dance floor, where you find yourself lost in a sea of brightly coloured cocktails and neon lights. You can choose from Classic Mojitos and Martinis, Frozen Daiquiris and Cosmopolitans, and so many more! Alongside cocktails, the menu offers an extensive spirits list, champagne and prosecco menu and also a range of soft drinks. If you’re not one for standing up all evening I’d recommend pre-booking a table to guarantee yourself some space – the bar can get particularly busy and as the saying goes, on your feet, lose your seat!

So if you’re after a breakfast meeting, a girly lunch, a romantic date or a few drinks before heading over to The Keys, then I would recommend Lotus Lounge. To find out a little more and keep up to date with their latest news check out their website
