With all this wonderful warm weather we’ve been having recently, I can’t be the only one who seems to pose the question, what shall we do to enjoy the sun? Well, after asking this very question last week I decided to take a trip to a park, Albert Park in Middlesbrough to be exact.
This scenic little space of greenery is surprisingly tucked away just off Linthorpe Road in the centre of Middlesbrough. Surrounded by housing, restaurants and shops you wouldn’t think such a picturesque park was situated right on our doorsteps! With trees that intertwine above the paths and fresh flowers blooming below, this park affords you the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a walk in the gorgeous sunshine and fresh air.
If you’re just after a walk in the park I suppose you could just go anywhere. However, if you’re after a little more than just a park then I would absolutely recommend taking a trip to Albert Park.
With something for everyone there’s nothing not to love about this fantastic, fun-packed feature:
Fancy hiring a pedal boat? You can! Pay a visit to the boating lake where you can hire swan-shaped boats and get up-close and personal with some of natures finest! However, if you’re more of a ‘I’ll mind the bags’ kind of person, you can always stay by the side and feed the ducks with some bread from the café.
How about roller skating? If you fancy showing off some of those 80’s moves, wriggle over to the roller-skate park where you can hire a pair of skates and dance the day away! On top of this there’s also a spacious play area with climbing frames suitable for children of all ages, and plenty of outdoor games to wear them out. Best of all, you can even take your pedigree pals to enjoy this wonderful little place- however please note they must be kept on their leads at all times.
Open every day from 9am till 4pm, this is the perfect place to go to keep the kids quiet, to have a fun day out with your partner or to just do something different with your friends. I honestly cannot recommend this action-packed little park enough!
