Lucia’s Italian Kitchen

To celebrate turning 20 last week one of my gorgeous friends took me to one of her favourite restaurants – Lucia’s Italian Kitchen.

Lucia’s is ideally located in the centre of Yarm High Street, however this wonderful Italian Kitchen is tactfully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. To escape to Lucia’s you must follow the street signs through a gap in between two shops- this leads you to a beautiful courtyard lit with twinkling lights, framed by delicate flowers and decorative trees. Once you have admired this fairy-tale scene (and finished posing for those instagrammable selfies) you’re taken through an authentic revolving door and up a flight of stairs.

Now you’re sufficiently detached from the High Street you are able to indulge in the glamorous yet authentic surroundings that Lucia’s décor exhibits. The low wooden beams and warm lighting, coupled with the bare brick features create a warming Italian atmosphere, whilst the modernity of the bar and the seating arrangements add a contemporary twist.

The menu offers an array of contemporary Italian dishes and Lucia’s is famous for their tremendous pizzas and pastas. The restaurant also offers a variety of alternatives including fabulous fish and chicken dishes, steaks, burgers and so much more. The food quality was absolutely faultless, from the standard of cooking, to the final presentation- my meal was a mouth-watering, taste-tantalising dream!

In addition, the staff were faultless. Polite, friendly, efficient service- everything you needed them to be.

I cannot recommend Lucia’s Italian Kitchen enough. If you’re looking for somewhere to go for a catch up with the girls, a meal with your partner, or for dinner with family- Lucia’s will tick any of these boxes. To take a closer look at the menu or to book a table visit
